Although farming was the way of life for many Rye families through the years, few farms remain. Join Rye400 and the Rye Conservation Commission (RCC) on September 16, 2023, 1:00-2:30 p.m., at 81 West Road to learn about the conservation efforts to save one such farm. RCC member, Susan Shepcaro will lead the group through the property and introduce Sally King, who will speak about RCC’s six-year effort to protect the property. Lifelong resident and farmer, Roger Philbrick, will be on hand to point out and talk about the natural resources found on the site.
