Rye Writers: Poet Mimi White

Rye Public Library welcomes Rye poet Mimi White in our Rye Writers series for the Rye 400th celebration.  Mimi lives in Rye NH with her dog Scout.   She is the author of several collections of poetry, including The Singed Horizon, Into Darkness We Go, and The Last Island. She has received the Philbrick Poetry Award, a New Hampshire Fellowship in Poetry, and has taught writing to students of all ages for over twenty-five years.  Her books are available online at Deerbrook Editions. 

Mimi White will read poems inspired by her house and environs where she has lived for the past fifty years.
